The Chenango Blues Association (C.B.A) is a nonprofit 501(C)3 organization whose mission is to foster an appreciation of uniquely American music forms including blues, jazz, zydeco and gospel. We strive to accomplish this by presenting the highest caliber of artists in diverse settings for the lowest possible cost. This strategy is designed to make the music accessible to as many people as possible.
The Chenango Blues Fest is also the proud receipent of the Russell J. Perlman Award for the most outstanding project to apply for a NYS Decentralization grant, which is administered by the Chenango Arts Fund. This is the second time time we have been given this honor . All the activities of C.B.A. are governed by a volunteer board of directors consisting of thirteen community members drawn from Chenango County. There is no paid staff and no office expense so all contributions directly increase our ability to expand programming. The major activity of the C.B.A. is a mid-August Blues Festival Weekend held at various locations in Norwich, NY.
